McDONALD'S TOYS & COLLECTABLES
RELEASED IN NEW ZEALAND
This is not a list of what I have in stock at any time. Rather,
it's a catalogue of all significant items released in New Zealand.
While I have 95+ percent of items released here I don't always have stocks
of (a) rare, early items; (b) extremely popular toys such as Snoopy's World
Tour; or (c) the very latest sets. (I'm currently finding it very
difficult to keep up with demand from foreign collectors for the 1999 sets,
for example.)
COMPOSITION OF SETS: Where the description in the list
is simply "four items" this means that there is a Birdie, Grimace, Hamburglar
and Ronald in the set. Unless stated otherwise, prices for sets are
the prices for single items multiplied by the number of items in the set.
DATES ETC: Toys and collectables are listed in order of
their release in New Zealand, but some of the dates of release are my best
guess. If local collectors have more accurate information, it would
be appreciated if they would let me have it. I'd also be grateful
for advice of any amendments or additions to the list.
CONDITION: The assumption made throughout is that toys
are in good condition. Worn, damaged or dirty McDonald's toys have
no value.
PRICES: are expressed in US dollars.
MAIL ORDERS: postage is charged at cost. Foreign orders
are sent by economy air.
Note: MIP = Mint in Packet

which have been found in New Zealand. The set comprises: (1) a waterproof,
three-page book with a cow on the cover; (2) a blue kennel with a red roof:
press a bone-shaped button and a puppy comes out; (3) a red and yellow
"thumb shuffle" puzzle (this is the best name I can think of for it: when
you find it, you'll recognise it from this description); (4) a yellow and
red McDonald's shop with Ronald inside; (5) a yellow dog (which squeaks)
in a red kennel; (6) a yellow ball (described by my correspondent, on what
authority I cannot tell, as a "wiffel ball") with two smaller balls inside;
(7) a white, red and yellow telephone; (8) a white rattle shaped like a
gateway with a blue barrel and a pink pig on a bar inside (truly!); (9)
a white cow with a red band around its head ; (10) a very strange rattle
comprising four "spokes" on a yellow wheel; (11) a yellow and green radio
with a blue dial; (12) a radio identical to (11) only the colours are reversed
ie in one toy the blue "dial" is on a yellow background while in the other
it's on a green background; (13) a yellow, red and blue segmented ball;
(14) a brown and white puppy on red wheels; (15) a white and red train,
with blue wheels; (16) a red clock with a blue "roof" and yellow hands;
(17) a yellow and white bus with blue wheels; (18) a red car with yellow
wheels; (19) a blue puppy on wheels: the face changes as the toy rolls
along; (20) a green jeep with purple wheels; (21) a red and white McDonald's
delivery truck with blue wheels; (22) a purple Grimace on wheels: the face
changes as the toy rolls along; (23) Birdie in a blue car with pink wheels;
